Concept:
When I started working on the Nerds Gummy Cluster website, the goal was to
create something that really captures the fun of Nerds candy while keeping
things simple but still appealing.
Final Reflection
Experience: Creating the website for Nerds Gummy Clusters was an engaging project
where i focused on translating the candy's playful nature into an
easy-to-navigate, visually appealing platform. The challenge was to
keep it simple yet engaging enough to highlight the brand's new
release. Working through various wireframes, color palettes made me
realize the importance of small design details in shaping the entire
user experience.
Objectives: The success of this project relied on balancing creativity with
functionality. While Nerds as a brand is vibrant and fun, I had to
ensure that the website layout didn’t become overwhelming. Observing other
successful candy websites showed me that product-focused sections,
intuitive navigation, and bold but clean visuals help users engage more
meaningfully. Watching how users respond to hover actions and
click-through elements inspired me to use interactivity sparingly but
effectively.
Findings:
- Consistency in Branding: Using the color palette and typography ensured that the website stayed true to the fun, energetic identity of Nerds while maintaining a clean, structured design.
- User Experience is Key: Simple, intuitive flows from loading pages to interactive flavor exploration help users stay engaged without feeling lost or frustrated.
- Responsive Design: Designing the layout to be easily navigable across devices is critical for accessibility, especially for a product targeted at all age groups.
