Sketching

fig 2 Sketch (18/09/2023)

The first one is inspired by the game Pac-Man. The second one has antennas like an alien, and the third one has a sort of crystal or starry design. Overall, these ideas are all rooted in fantasy and thinking too deeply about myself loll.

Digitizing

When I was putting my drawings on the computer, I got a bit frustrated because my initial sketches didn't turn out so well. But I kept trying different things.

In the end, my design is still simple, yet they represented me.

Animating

I'm making the animation with Adobe After Effects, and while I'm finding it a bit tricky, tutorial videos are coming to the rescue and for the outcome I'm intentionally keeping the animation simple.

Feedback

Week 4
General Feedback: To make our logos better, we should use short explanations, not repeat what's obvious. People may not always like good design just because it looks nice; how we present it matters. It's better to focus on one clear idea in our designs instead of using too many things. Start with a strong structure, then add the finishing touches later. Specific Feedback: should use proper picture to match with what i extracted from

Week 5

Week 6

Reflection

Experience: I struggled a little with the first work since I wasn't sure how to merge my name into my own identity. However, I was able to experiment with a variety of alternative ways. As I progressed to the second round of the task, I became more interested in experimenting with different mockups, experimenting with colour schemes, and experimenting with different layouts.
Observations: Throughout the assignment, I saw how colours would be interpreted differently on various backdrops and enjoyed the chance to look into that while creating diverse designs for a variety of applications. I also learned how important it is to maintain a balance between keeping visual appeal and maintaining information clarity.
Findings: It's important for creating a personal connection  with others by using our name. I've also discovered that design is all about conveying ideas through visuals. I have to constantly keep in mind that when working on a project, I should prioritize making the text straightforward to read rather than making it appealing.

Being really careful about small things is very important. You have to be neat and not lazy, and not put things off. All the little things matter because they add up to the final result, no matter what you're doing. Good quality isn't based on how important something is; it's either there or it's not. Discipline is a promise to yourself to always try your best in your creative work. It means you make rules for yourself and stick to them, so your work is consistent from start to finish. It's an attitude that helps you stay in control and keep your work together, instead of all over the place. If you don't have discipline in your design, it will be messy and unreliable.
